3: Catrina
Chapter -6 Catrina
"Drew, we are now going to meet your friend Catrina."
"But why Doctor?"
"Remember when Rhod told you about wanting to be Em?"
"Yeah, I was gobsmacked, I couldn't believe what he said."
"Remember how you treated Catrina?"
"I was mean to her and accused her of turning Rhod into Em."
I hung my head in shame as I remembered how I had treated Catrina, she was innocent, Em did not know about Catrina.
"What is so special about Catrina Drew?"
"Let me tell him Drew."
"O.K. Maddy."
"Rhod, Catrina is like you."
"You mean she is a girl with boy bits?"
"Yes, but before now, only her parents Drew and I knew. Can you keep her secret?"
"You bet."
"Rhod, can you forgive me for not accepting your choice? You are my friend and I would never hurt you."
"I know that Drew and I forgive you mate."
Then Rhod and I hugged, then stepped apart.
"Now that that has been settled, let's let Catrina in shall we?"
With that said, the Doctor opened the door and Cat stepped inside.
"This is brill, looks like something out of Star Trek."
"Hello Cat, nice to see you again."
"Drew? Maddy? What are you guys doing here?"
"Hello there Miss Catrina, I am the Doctor and you are in my T.A.R.D..I.S."
"NO WAY!!"
"Yes way Cat, this is all very real."
"But how can that be Drew?"
Then the Doctor closed the door and the grinding noise started, then stopped.
"There now, we are hidden from prying eyes. We are quite safe. Miss Catrina, I am sure that you have a few questions."
"You bet I do. Why am I here and why am I on the set of Doctor Who with my friends?"
"First of all, this is most definitely not a the set of Doctor Who. Doctor Who is a series based upon my travels and I have met every crew of the Starship Enterprise."
"Prove it!!"
"Just look out the door please."
Then the door opened and we saw the Moon's surface and Cat looked out and gasped at the vista, then the doors closed back.
"O.K. I am convinced. So, Star Trek and Doctor Who are real?"
"Yes they are as well as most other such programs."
"WOW!! So why are you here?"
"Catrina, we are here because of how Drew treated you when Rhod told us about becoming Em. Drew wants to apologize in person."
"That was months ago."
"Catrina, the Doctor is letting me apologize for hurting you, will you forgive me?
Then I got on my knees.
"Oh get up Drew. I forgive you."
Then Cat came over and kissed my cheek.
"Thanks Cat."
"I have a question though."
What is your question?"
"Whatever happens to me?"
"Well Catrina, you do marry and raise a family in time and you join Drew in racing along with Maddy."
"That's great!! i have always liked Drew and Maddy."
"Well, together you three become known as the Best Women's Cycling Team."
"Too bad I have to adopt."
"Oh, I don't know about that Catrina."
"Hey now, don't kid me about that."
"I am not kidding you Catrina, there are possibilities, do not give up hope."
"Very well, as long as you say so, but what about my friend? What of her?"
"Catrina, you will help your friend to overcome her problems and she will become your best friend."
"But she already is my best friend!!"
"But you will do something very special for her that nobody else can do."
"What is that?"
"Save her life."
"Catrina, what are you talking about?"
"Drew, I have a best friend who when she was a toddler, received tainted blood, now she is HIV +."
"Oh sugar!! That is way worse than me being seen as a girl."
Then we all hugged her as she wept for her friend.
"Catrina?"
"Yes Jules?"
"You be careful, Drew has me, but you are an only child."
"I know Jules, but I have my 'rents and they support me."
"Remember Catrina, that you have our support."
"Thanks Maddy."
Then the Doctor led us to the dining room where we enjoyed Tea Time, after Tea, the Doctor let Catrina back out and we left her behind.

Chapter-7 America
"Drew, how would you like to see your friend Diana Biggs and learn how things are for her?"
"That would be brill!! She gave me a bike to ride while I was in America, Seeing her again will be kewel."
"Yes, both Erin and Diana have profited from meeting you."
"I guess that they have used my advice on riding then."
"No young Bond, because you rode upon their bikes and autographed both the bikes and a poster of you riding their bikes, their sales have increased thanks to you."
Then I fainted away from the shock. When I awoke, Maddy and jules were leaning over me.
"Well bro, you did it again."
"Yeah Drew, that's the second time that you have fainted away today."
"Sorry about causing you any concern."
"That's quite alright young Bond, you are a bit peckish, so please drink this tea. It will restore you."
Then he handed me a cup of hot tea and a biscuit on a saucer. Taking the offered snack, I polished it off pronto and felt much better.
"Thank you Doctor, I feel much better now."
"You're very welcome young Bond, that tea should last you quite some time."
"Who all will we meet?"
"Well, since we are here, might has well meet the students that were involved in the program Rhod."
"But Dan hates me!"
"I think that you will find that things have changed a bit for him and that he has changed his attitide about you."
"Doctor, what about Brit and Deb? They caused Drew all sorts of mischief, I wonder if they regret what they did to my bro."
"Miss Bond, you will be surprised to find out, but I will let them tell you for themselves."
Then the Doctor led us into Erin's Cyclery where Erin was talking with Diana over the poster of me upon the bike with the bike itself in front.
"Maybe we should get a few copies of Drew's cycling kit, I am sure that it will sell as well as the posters."
"It wouldn't hurt Erin, but don't we need to call Drew and his Mother for permission?"
"Sounds like a good idea to me you two." I smirked.
"Drew? What in the world are you doing here with Rhod, Maddy and Jules? And who is this man with you?"
"Erin, Diana, it's a very long story."
"We have the time." they chorused.
"Well ladies, I am the Doctor, I have brought your friends here so that they could see how well you are doing."
"Well Drew and Maddy, thanks to Drew, our business has tripled in sales and the cycling team has split off into four teams now."
"That's great!! But What about Dan, is he still the same?"
"No Em, Just wait a bit, he is working here now, you can see for yourself."
"What about Brit and Deb?"
"Don't worry Jules, they will be by shortly as well."
Then Dan came in wearing a cycling kit, whern he saw Em, he was shocked.
"Em, what are you and your friends doing here? Am I dreaming?"
"No Dan, you are not dreaming, I am here because I am wondering about you."
"Thanks Em, I guess that I should have apologized for my behavior before now, but truth is that I was scared that you would not accept it."
"Dan, what has happened to make you want to change?"
"Actually, it was Drew/Gaby that did it."
"Me?"
"Yes, you Drew, when I found out about how Brit and Deb had treated you and how you took it, I then knew that you were more of a man than I was and I went to see help to overcome my bigotry. I have had to look at my actions and see how much that I had hurt Em and you, what I saw appalled me. Drew, Em, will you forgive me for being so mean?"
"I forgive you."
"Me too Dan."
"Thanks you two. Now i had best get to work, I am running the register today."
"See you later Dan," said Erin.
Then Brit and Deb came in and gasped when they saw me.
"This can't be!!"
"We must be dreaming!"
"No, you are not dreaming, I am here to see how you two are doing."
"You mean to gloat over our situation don't you Gaby?"
"Listen here you two, you two caused my brother a lot of distress thanks to lying to your parents!! Any backlash you deserve!!!"
"True Jules, I may have gotten Drew to be Gaby, but I never was as bad as you two!!!"
"Maybe not, but if not for your doing it, we would not have!!"
"O.K. you two, simmer down!! You two have been punished for hurting Drew and all that y'all can do is throw blame around!! When y'all can admit to your guilt, then maybe things will be easier for you!!"
"That'll be the day, come on Deb, we have work to do at Diana's."
Then they turned in a huff and left.
"Erin, Diana, what is their punishment?"
"They are banned from all school activities , even Cheerleading Maddy."
"That's harsh."
"Yes Drew, but what they did to you was harsh as well."
"Will they ever learn from their mistake?"
"Drew, they have chosen to be bitter and not grow. Their attitude will cause them much pain until they let go of their bitterness."
"I know Doctor, but I still feel at fault."
"Now you listen here bro, those two could have hurt you with their mischief!! They don't care about your well being, just them selves!"
"I know Jules, Doctor, will they always be so bitter?"
"No Drew, but they will suffer greatly before they learn. Such a waste too."
[sigh.]
"What do you mean?"
"Drew, it is not for me to say."
"Doctor, are they hurt?"
"Drew, their tricking you into being Gaby could have caused you great harm if you had ever been outed. Just think of what could happen."
"The kids and parents could cause problems for the school."
"Yes, and you and your friends could be hurt physically."
"Doctor, I was accosted as Em, were they?"
"Yes Rhod, but thy suffered far more than you did."
"Doctor, I want for them to pay for hurting my brother, but that is more than I was wanting to have happen."
"Jules, they will suffer through this and become much better women for it."
"Doctor, i have been a part of Drew's being Gaby too."
"Yes Maddy, but you have Drew's forgiveness and you have agreed to stop turning Drew into Gaby."
"Well, we need to go now, it's time for our weekly ride."
"Well, time to go now, Thank you for your hospitality ladies."
Then the Doctor led us into the box and we left.
Chapter -8 The Wedding
When we stopped, the Doctor looked up and looked worried.
"This is interesting, according to the read out, Drew and Maddy marry while quite young."
"SAY WHAT!!"
Then I passed out, when I woke up, Maddy was looking over me and wiping my brow.
"Welcome back Drew,"
"Maddy, why would we marry? Did I get you pregnant?"
"No bro, the Doctor misread the report, Maddy and you are involved with a wedding as well as me."
"That guy might be smart, but he is not all knowing as he claims."
"Tell me about it, I peed my pant and he had to get me a spare skirt, not that I mind, but it is a bit dated."
"Well Maddy, it looks good on you."
"Thanks Drew."
Then she gave me a kiss.
"Looks like they are at it again Jules."
"Well, I am glad that you are better Drew, sorry about the misread."
"That's alright, but I am still wondering about the wedding and if we should visit here."
"We are heading there now."
Well, what happened to cause Maddy, Drew and I to be involved in a wedding?"
"Jules, you and Maddy are asked to be bridesmaids, but due to an accident, Maddy has a broken leg."
"And I get drafted to take Maddy's place." GRRRR
"Drew, you too were hurt in the accident, but in your case, it is head trauma."
"Sugar! I hope that I don't start wanting to be Gaby here."
"That has yet to be determined."
"What do you mean?"
"The head trauma."'
" Oh."
"Here we are Drew."
Then the Doctor led us into my bedroom where I was asleep with Maddy by me.
"Oh Sugar, I must be dreaming Maddy."
"Not unless I am too Drewbie."
"Drew, Maddy, you are not dreaming. I am Drew from where you never were in a wreck and were never involved with a wedding."
"Then why are you here with Maddy, Rhod and a stranger?"
"Because we are here to help you out."
"How?"
"I am the Doctor, I have good news, both of you will get better and fully recover."
"But what about the tests on Drew? Is he to be Gaby?"
"That is his choice Maddy. You and he need to talk about this."
"We already have." [sigh.]
"What is your choice Drew?"
"We chose to not choose. We will let nature decide."
"If you do that Drew, you might very well need to choose anyway."
"Why is that Doctor?"
"You may develop as a girl."
"Oh Sugar, just what I don't want to have happen."
"What will you do if that happens?"
"Have surgery and stay Drew."
"Are we going to visit here as well?"
"I just want to ride my bike, but thanks to the accident, I can't until I get better.
"You will Drew, just give yourself time."
Then they fell asleep and we left.
"Doctor, I am becoming Gaby in the Wedding History."
"Yes you are, how can you tell?"
"I can sense the truth of the other Drew."
"Then you are developing a Time Sense which means that you will know where in time you are."
"Not my scatterbrained brother, he is absent minded."
"Well Jules, that can change."
Chapter -9 Fred
"Ah, that's better, we can now leave and visit your friend Fred. I am sure that she will be wanting to see you."
Then the grinding sound started and then stopped.
The Doctor led us out to see Fred in her wheelchair as she was aiming her Bow at a target. She struck the bull's eye, then upon seeing us, she smiled.
"Well, what brings you and your friends here Drew or is it Gaby?"
"IT is Drew Fred!!"" GRRRR
"Sorry Drew, but you look so much like a girl. I mean, how many guys wear a sports bra?"
"I do at times."
"Who are you?"
"My name is Rhod, but as a girl, I am Mfanwy."
"Why would you ever want to be a girl?"
"My dad left my Mum before I was born and when I turned ten, he showed up wanting his son, so Mum dressed me as a girl thinking that he would leave us alone. My dad accepted me as his daughter and I began to spend one weekend a month with him and his wife. Now, I want to be a girl."
"Well, you're alright in my book."
"Thanks."
"But why are you guys here?"
"We are here to make sure that you are alright Miss."
"And who are you?"
"I am the Doctor and I have some good new for you."
"What is that?"
"You will qualify for both the Special Olympics as well as the Olympics and be upon the Team for England along with Drew, Maddy, Catrina and Jenny Bond."
"That will be great!! Now if only we medal, that would be fantastic!!"
"Well Fred, if you are as good at Archery as I am am Cycling, that might happen."
"But you won't tell me will you?"
"Sorry Fred, but I must keep some things secret or else the news itself could change events."
"Oh well, at least I am going to the Olympics, will Drew be there at the Special Olympics?"
"Not competing no."
"Too bad."
"But I have some good news for you Drew."
"What is that Fred?'
"Just watch this."
Then Fred stood up and started to slowly walk around her wheelchair and sit back down. Next thing that I knew, I had passed out.
When I woke up, Fred was washing off my forehead.
"Sorry about that Drew, I did not mean for you to faint." [giggle.]
"Drew tends to faint when shocked and you have to admit that seeing you walk was a shock." [giggle]
"True Maddy, but a good shock, when did it happen Fred?"
"Just after our ride, it seems as if the cycling reconnected the nerves. I am still a bit weak, but my therapist thinks that I will be able to walk again soon."
Then Fred's coach came up.
"Fred, you need to practice some more, we are going outside so you can get practice in windy conditions now."
"Thanks Coach."
"Well, I guess that this is good bye."
Then Fred hugged us before the Doctor led us away.
Chapter 10- Dinner
"Excuse me Doctor, but I am getting a bit famished, can we eat?"
"Me and my manners!! Yes Rhod, we can eat, please follow me to the Dining Hall."
Then he led us to a room filled with tables and chairs of good taste. Has the Doctor sat at a table, a screen popped up from the table's center. He quickly ordered his meal and the meal was delivered through the table after the screen had popped away.
"Please help yourself, just sit at a table and order whatever it is that you want."
"Doctor, I am allergic to meat, can I order a steak that won't hurt me?"
"Yes Rhod, you can order any meat and not have to worry about your allergies because here, that which you are allergic to is canceled."
"Can you cure me of my allergy?"
"Sorry Rhod, but that would interfere with your future, but not to worry, you will use your allergy to help others and yourself."
"But I am helping my Mum I her salon!!"
"Even so, you will be of help to others with allergies."
"Well then, I want an Angus steak dinner with a root beer float."
He sat down and his dinner popped up from his table.
"MMM." Very tasty."
Then he began to devour his dinner as the rest of us sat down to eat.
"Doctor, will this meal help me with my diet?"
"Yes Drew, in fact, the meal will be made to answer your bodies needs so everybody order what you want, and be assured that this meal will actually prevent any ailment and cure any genetic defects."
"What about a girl's cycle?"
"Maddy, after this meal, yours and Jules cycles will be very light."
"Well then, I will have what Drew is having, Spaghetti with extra cheese and a soda."
"Don't forget the Garlic Bread Maddy."
"Thanks Jules."
"I will have Lasagna extra cheese and a soda."
Then we all sat down to some serious eating and after dinner, we went to the loo where we were refreshed and our clothing was laundered.
Chapter 11 Lost In Thought
"Drew,?"
"Yes Doctor?"
"Would you like to know what your parents went through while you and Jules were in America?"
"We both would!!"
"You bet bro!!"
"Me too!! I love Aunt Jenny!!"
"I would like to know as well, Drew, Jules, I am sorry about how I acted in America."
"That's alright mate, only the faculty and Maddy knew."
Then Rhod hugged me and Jules.
"Well, here we are at your house Drew and Jules. Your parents are getting ready to go to America for the race."
"OWWW!!"
"That's for seeing Mum and Dad without me."
"Sorry Jules, but I did not know that they would be there."
"That's enough of that please. Let's go now."
Then the Doctor led us into the garage where Mum and Dad were loading up the car.
"Dave, how can I be seeing our children and Maddy and Rhod?"
That is what I would like to know myself."
"I can explain, I am the Doctor."
"I am calling the Peters and Sylvie."
"Please don't."
"Why not Drew?"
"We came here to see you Mum."
"That's alright Drew, The Peters and Miss Morgan need to see their children too. Just leave Allison's parents alone since she is not here."
"Very well Doctor, follow me and I will make us some tea."
"Mum!?"
"Yes Drew?"
"Could Aunt Carol make tea?"
"I see that you are still her number one fan, [giggle] "I guess that I can ask."
"Don't worry Jenny, Carol volunteered to make tea, for us."
"Yummy!"
"You know Drew, with all the food that you scarf down, it is a wonder that you don't gain weight."
"Just the virtue of cycling Dad."
Then I ducked his swipe as he chuckled.
As we neared Casa Peters, the front door opened as Aunt Carol and Mr. Peters came out.
"Well Jenny, you were right, the kids are here."
Then they hugged us close.
"Maddy, I don't know how you are here now, I have missed yoo!!"
"I've missed you too Mum."
"What about your Dad?"
"You too Daddy" [giggle]
"Drew, has Maddy been behaving and not having you dress as Gaby?"
"MUM!!!"
"Maddy has not been dressing me as Maddy, it has been all thanks to Brit and Deb." [sigh]
"Mum, they have made sure that Drew has been Gaby all during the trip. His only Drew time has been during his cycling.'
"Were they ever punished for their tricking Drew?"
"Yes Aunt Carol, those two were banned from school activities and scholarships for what they did to my bro."
"Well come on in, I know that Drew will scarf down his share of tea." [giggle]
"AUNT CAROL!!!!"
"Well Drew, are you saying that you don't like my cooking?" [giggle]
"No Ma'am."
"Well, that is a good thing Drew, because your Aunt has set up quite the buffet out back in your honor."
"But how Mr. Peters?"
"We knew that Drew would be having his birthday after he returned and Carol and i decided to treat Drew to a party since Jenny is sick Sylvie."
Then Sylvie Morgan walked in behind us and hugged her son Rhod.
"Rhod, have you still decided to be Em?"
Yes I have Mum."
"How I wish that I had never had you become Em."
"Mum, do not blame yourself, I have found myself as Em."
”But i started it all because I wanted to keep you, if you hd gone with your dad, you would still be Rhod."
"And I would be miserable Mum, I want to be your daughter, please forgive yourself, i have never blamed you."
"Thanks Em, my daughter."
Then they both went over to a bench and sat down to cry. Uncle John took them a plate and cup. After that, we all tucked into the buffet.
“O.K. now, I know that you are still in America right now, what are you doing here?"
"They are here because of me Mr. Peters."
"And who are you?"
"I am the Doctor, i have brought them here because of some interesting dreams that Mr. Bond has had about Gaby."
"Dave, have you told anybody but me?"
"No Jenny, I haven't."
"Mum, Dad, the Doctor brought us from another history so that i could learn about myself. please tell me about the dreams."
"Drew, in my dreams, you are Gaby and are about to get married to your husband, not Maddy."
"Was I born as Gaby?"
"I don't know, all that i know is that you were beautiful."
"But why were you dreaming of my bro has Gaby?"
"Jules, I was under a lot of pressure and worrying about Drew being Gaby in America."
"Do you want for my Drew to be Gaby Uncle Dave?"
"No Maddy, both Jenny and I want for both of our children to be happy in the life that they choose."
Then Mum and Dad hugged each other deeply.
"Drew, have you forgiven me for going overboard when i asked you to be Gaby that time?"
"Yes Aunt Carol, I have."
"What is this about Drew?"
"I needed Drew to be a model so that I could get you some new clothes for your birthday, but i forgot that Gaby was Drew and he almost left and went home because he could not handle being Gaby. [sigh.]
But Mum, you did not need Drew."
"I know Maddy, but I did it in a moment of weakness."
"Because you miss my twin?'
"Yes."
"What is this about Maddy having a twin Carol?'
"Sylvie, I had twin girls, but Maryanne died as an infant. I have since then adopted Drew as my nephew and when he started to become Gaby, I saw Maryanne again. And we have tried, but I can not get pregnant again."[sigh.]
"Aunt Carol, if you ask, I might be Gaby for you."
"Thanks Drew."
Then I got a group hug from everybody.As the evening wore on, we finished the buffet, then we got ready to leave.
"Sylvie, Jenny, Dave, why don't you spend the night here and go home in the morning?'
"Sure thing John."
"I guess my salon can open up a bit late tomorrow."
Then after we said our good byes, the Doctor led us to his blue box.
